Round Wire

The bulk of round wire produced at Fort Wayne Metals is drawn to diameters from 0.394" to 0.0005". However, maximum and minimum sizes may vary depending on alloy type and desired mechanical properties. We produce most round wire to tolerances of ±2.5%. However, tighter tolerances can be achieved if necessary. Tensile strengths can range from 80,000 to 500,000 psi depending on alloy and diameter. The standard tensile tolerance is ±15,000 psi unless otherwise specified.

Round wire can be spooled on a large variety of spool sizes. It is also available in
straightened and cut lengths.
