FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 9, 2007

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Fort Wayne Metals, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality precision wire, was named one of the best places to work in Indiana in the large-sized company category by the Indiana Chamber of Commerce for the second year in a row. Fifty companies throughout Indiana were honored in the Chamber’s second annual “Best Places to Work in Indiana” program. Fort Wayne Metals was one of three companies from Fort Wayne to receive the honor, and the only one from Fort Wayne in the large-sized company category, which lists companies with over 250 employees.

The Indiana Chamber’s program honors the top companies in the state, as determined through employer reports and comprehensive employee surveys. All companies that participated in the “Best Places to Work in Indiana” program received an in-depth evaluation identifying strengths and weaknesses according to their employees. Winners were selected from two categories: small to medium-sized companies of between 25 and 249 employees, and large-sized companies consisting of 250 or more employees. The list of the top Hoosier companies was distributed in February and the companies were honored at a luncheon in early May.

“This was such an honor for us because it shows that our employees understand that they’re valued,” said Scott Glaze, chief executive officer, Fort Wayne Metals. “We strive to create that type of environment – where it isn’t just a job, but a career and a personal growth experience for each employee.”
